Galaxy Book Awards

In Miscellaneous on November 16, 2010 at 7:39 pm

Galaxy Book Awards 2010I sat down on Saturday night to watch the Galaxy Book Awards and I gave up on it half an hour later. Why is it that the Producers think they need to dumb-down in order to justify the Award’s appearance on mainstream television? Why would TV personalities be invited to present book awards?? Sure, they’ve written their own books – who hasn’t – but it’s as if they just turned up to exploit the opportunity of plugging their efforts.

I’m not a big fan of Chris Moyles. I’m not a big fan of toilet jokes. Maybe at least I’ll be a fan of some of the books mentioned. I might give Patrick Ness’s trilogy a go.
