On Saturday 5 March, with the full support of the Reading Agency and the BBC, one million books will be given away by troops of passionate readers to members of the public across the UK and Ireland, in celebration of World Book Night.
Join us for an evening of dance, music, literature and lots of activities for children. We will be giving away copies of books to individuals and worthy causes.
Rasta Mouse author Michael da Souza will be hosting bedtime stories for the little ones. Crafty kids can make books of dreams. For the adults there will be samba dancing, readings from author Maggie Gee and pampering sessions.
Visit the libraries page for a detailed programme of the evening’s activities.
